Tom: Let’s start with Pluto as the soul’s empowerment journey. There’s a new archetype here we haven’t talked about yet today; Pluto’s conjunct the asteroid Persephone.[14] As a side note, I don’t expect anyone else to use all these archetypes I use, like Persephone, Lucifer, and Arjunsuri. They answer questions for me. They bring in key word lists and stories that we live as they answer questions. Occasionally I get drawn to add something and I’ve been asked when I might stop, and I don’t see it happening because, as we’re going to see right now, they answer questions. Everything Glenna’s heard about Pluto retrograde in Virgo in the 8th house will change with Persephone added to it. Just like Annette’s Pluto conjunct Juno adds flavor – it’s not just seeking expression, it’s committed to the search. She didn’t just check out two religions. She did a bunch for 3 years each.
It’s our first Pluto in Virgo for the day and in the 8th house. The arena of life is trust, intimacy, where we join together, and then of course the pitfalls involve lack of trust, lack of intimacy, and codependent entanglement. That’s the arena of life – where the soul is seeking to become empowered as Glenna. We know right off the bat that Glenna in all these different lives has all kinds of empowering experiences in various ways of approaching intimacy including in friendship and business dealings. Intimacy in the 8th house includes by the way the fact that your lawyer or accountant knows all the crap about your finances, in addition to friends who know your secrets and lovers who know all kinds of intimate things about you. In different lives she has a lot of empowering experiences about truth, openness, honesty, and trust but she’s also got a lot of disempowering experiences. Before we look at the chart we don’t know where she lands on this spectrum of empowered to disempowered. We just know that over the course of thousands of lives she’s been all over the range. We don’t know exactly where she landed this week or last month but we know she has a lot of experience in this. The Pluto is retrograde, so she’s got to invent her own wheel for this and do her own thing.
In Virgo, the core mission is analysis, improvement, service, and developing a relationship with duty and responsibility. It’s about 1958 to 1971 and it’s not that all of them are responsible but at the soul level they’re seeking to become empowered through exploring responsibility. The biggest slobs and the biggest neat freaks are in that generation. The most humble servants and also the most arrogant people who refuse to serve are in that generation because they’re exploring this Virgo stuff from all sides. That’s the basic idea.
Adding Persephone to it. Wherever Persephone is in the chart we need to be abducted into new ways of being.
Michael: Abducted into.
Tom: Abducted.
Michael: Taken away. Stolen away.
Tom: [whispering] Stolen away.
